History of Sea Power William Stevens Books
An amazing review of trends, events, personalities, influences that caused and were affected by naval power from 6000 BC (!) through WW 1. Although necessarily breezy to cover such a span of history, the book gave good value in understanding the whys and whos and whats of naval conflict. Particularly evident was the thumbnail profiles of political and naval leaders including their strengths and weaknesses. Some were bold, some timid and some downright cowardly. The basic tenents were, however, illustrated over and over: fortune favors the bold. A wonderful and illucidating read. I only wish it continued through WW II.Product details

History of Sea Power William Stevens Books Reviews
Important study of a crucial topic. Without a reasonable understanding of the most important mode of transportation, any understanding of history is impossible.
